High Trails Outdoor Science School High Trails Outdoor Science School Big Bear City, CA Big Bear City, CA Full-time Contract Full-time Contract $182 a day $182 a day Join a fantastic community of energetic educators at a residential outdoor education center near Big Bear, CA as we work to open the eyes of city-based kids to the wonders and beauty of nature! Contracts from September to May, with the opportunity to renew for future school years.
REQUIREMENTS Age 21 or older, OR A college degree, OR Have experience working with children JOB DUTIES Work in the mountains of Southern California teaching elementary students! Field Instructors take students on hikes during the day and teach about ecology, environmental science, and teamwork.
Cabin Instructors supervise students overnight and sleep in cabins.
Rotate between Field and Cabin, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, with weekends and school holidays off.
Continuing education to help you become a better teacher.
PAY Total compensation package of $182/day Shift wage is $105 a shift.

We are in the San Bernardino National Forest near Big Bear City, CA.
This is a fun place, in a fantastic community of young and energetic educators.
We need educators to join our crew of tree hugging earth lovers as they work to open the eyes of city based kids to the wonders and beauty of nature.
This coming school year will be our 24th year in business, so we have a lot of experience to help us make your time spent here both fun and rewarding.
OUR PROGRAM IS UNIQUE IN CALIFORNIA! We are a small, upstart company who managed to jump into the (relatively) big leagues of outdoor education.
We believe we can make a difference, make a living, and be happy all at the same time.
OUR CORNER OF THE COUNTRY IS PRETTY DARN COOL! We are based in Big Bear, the coolest mountain town in Southern California; no other outdoor ed center is based here.
