Laundry Attendant / Guest Services
Big Bear City, CA Big Bear City, CA Full-time Full-time $20 an hour $20 an hour The Laundry Attendant & Guest Services primary functions are to maintain the ongoing turnover of laundry from our short-term rental homes and providing guest support to evening arrivals.
This position includes repetitive movement working in the laundry area.
Availability Requirements This position is a Seasonal Position through the End of May This position is Sunday to Thursday This position is Primarily Swing Shifts, but may require Day Shifts as needed Areas of Responsibility and Duties Follow the prescribed laundering process including washing, drying, folding, and organizing laundry Observe established policies and procedures Follow cleaning schedule to ensure laundry is available a minimum of one day ahead of needs Maintain work area and supplies used to perform the job Perform guest check-ins Answering and responding to guest calls and text messages Provide guests all proper instructions and rules for their home, including compliance for local ordinances Dispatching maintenance as needed for in house guests or reports made by owners, housekeeping, etc.
Ensure all guest reservations have the completed, required details such as rental agreement, contact information, and photo ID presented at check-in.
Perform special projects as requested by the supervisor Other duties as assigned Key Competencies Organized and detail oriented - takes the time to ensure the job is completed and correct Multi-Tasker - ability to work on multiple tasks at one time Communication - able to effectively with team members and vendors Adaptable and flexible - enjoys doing work that may require frequent shifts in direction Solution oriented - collect and analyze information, problem-solve and improve efficiency Reliability - is dependable, consistent and does not have attendance issues Achievement oriented - enjoys seeing tasks through to completion and hitting goals Self-starter - can work autonomously and will seek out new tasks rather than waiting for an assignment Growth oriented - a strong desire to grow and learn new tasks and skills Qualifications Education High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook Abilities Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing Ability to learn and use new software and tools Experience 1 years experience in Hotels, Vacation Rentals, Sales or Customer Service experience 1 years sales and/or reservations teams experience Working Conditions This position operates in a professional environment.
This position routinely uses standard laundry & cleaning supplies, cleaning equipment, cell phones, and office equipment.
All potential employees are required to pass a background check before being hired.
Candidates may not have any tattoos visible above the shoulders.
Smoking/Vaping are strictly prohibited within all company work areas, managed properties, owned properties, company vehicles, and within 10 feet of all entrances, exits, accessibility ramps, windows and air-intake vents.
This position requires employees to follow company dress code.
Physical requirements This job is physical requiring constant movement 90% of the time, including repetitive movement and standing in one location for periods of time.
Lifting/moving requirements are generally up to 50 pounds.
This position requires the need to stand, crouch, stoop, and bend for 90% of the shift.
Normal workdays are between eight and ten hours, but overtime may be needed based on workflow.
